Future specialists` value attitude to continuing professional self-development

In modern society, the contradiction between the social need, that is, the requirements that society imposes on a specialist, and the insufficiently high level of future specialists` value attitude formation to continuing professional self-development has become more acute. This is due to the development of new technologies that have an impact on all spheres of our life. To be competitive, a future specialist has to meet these requirements. This can be achieved by a sufficiently high level of value attitude formation towards continuing professional self-development. Therefore, we see the need to form a positive attitude towards continuing professional self-development, which will contribute not only to improving the level of the future specialist`s professional competence, but also to his personal development in professional activity. The purpose of the article is to determine the level of future specialists` value attitude to continuing professional self-development. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were solved: criteria for future specialists’ value attitude to continuing professional self-development were determined; criteria-based diagnostic tools for the formation of future specialists` value attitude to continuing professional self-development were worked out; a methodology for measuring the level of this attitude formation was developed; research was conducted to measure the level of future specialists` value attitude formation to continuing professional self-development; a methodology for data processing of this research was described.
