Human potential of the modern youth on the example of students of Ulyanovsk State University

Despite the fact that the concepts "human capital" and "human potential" are quite widespread in the modern world, the interpretation of these definitions and their difference is not quite clear and understandable. It is also difficult to identify the specific components of human potential as the most valuable resource of society. The authors consider the options of definition of human capital and define the place of human potential in the development of all state. The article shows the difference between the concepts "human capital" and "human potential", as well as the process of turning human potential into human capital. The question of human potential components is studied and their brief description is given. The authors study the human potential of students of Ulyanovsk State University on the individual components and in the aggregate. The conclusions based on this research work are made, the hypotheses are suggested. The authors suggest the ways of influence on the human potential for the effective development of the economy and the state as a whole. The article demonstrates the necessity to introduce the methods of growth-rate promotion in forming the strategy of society development.
