A digital educational environment in the professional training of designers

The paper raises the question of the need to design a digital educational environment that provides the high-quality professional training for future designers by means of implementing digital and information technologies in all spheres of human activity, including design. The problem of creating a digital educational environment at present has not been sufficiently studied and scientifically substantiated, so there is a need for a search of theoretical and methodological foundations for its design and implementation. For this purpose, the analysis of the essential and substantive characteristics of various approaches to the interpretation of the terms 'educational environment', 'information and educational environment', 'digital educational environment' is carried out. The concept of 'digital educational environment', which is interpreted as an integrated pedagogical comple x of the professional training of a competent design specialist, is specified in relation to the professional training of designers, taking into account the specifics of modern design activity. The structural elements of this environment are detected: spatial and semantic; content and methodological; communicative and organizational.
