Digital transformation of museums and creative industries

The article examines the issues of digital transformation of the cultural and creative industries as a new approach to the innovative development of this sphere. The experience of introducing digital technologies into museum activities (government platforms, digital museums and collections, virtual exhibitions, museum installations) is presented. The Kazan State Institute of Culture, which includes an Engineering Center and a Prototyping Center, is working on the introduction of digital technologies into the museum sphere. In 2023, a museum of augmented reality of culture and everyday life of the Middle Volga region was created at the university. The museum introduces visitors to the culture of the seven peoples of the Middle Volga region. Using a tablet with a special application, visitors can "revive" everyday objects and folk culture. University students take part in the development of virtual museum exhibitions.
