Digitalization as a tool for enhancing the model of mathematical culture

The article examines the role of digital technologies as a means of developing mathematical culture among students within the framework of modern education, analyzed through the epistemological ideas of the philosophical concept of cognitive culture. The author focuses on the phenomenon of digitalization in education, viewing it as a tool demanded by the era of the information society and the technological revolution for the improvement of the educational system. The article explores current trends in the digitalization of education, relevant educational platforms, and instructional-methodological complexes, while also describing the advantages and disadvantages of blended learning that incorporates online formats. It is emphasized that digitalization can lead to a decline in students’ creative and cognitive abilities. However, the proper use of digitalization in education has the potential to mitigate the negative aspects of this process and modernize the entire domestic educational system in a constructive way, positively impacting students’ mathematical culture. According to the author, digitalization represents a powerful tool for enhancing the model of mathematical culture, enriching the educational process, and increasing students’ interest in studying mathematics.
