Digital image of a university teacher: a theoretical justification for the feasibility of creating

The article examines the essence of the concepts of “self-image”, “digital image” of a higher education teacher and their differences from the closely related concepts of “image”, “portrait”, “reputation”, etc. Interest in the “digital image” of the teacher has emerged in the XXI century as a result of the rapid penetration of electronic technology in HEIs and the move to distance learning during the coronavirus pandemic. The scientific novelty lies in the substantiation of the nature of the digital image as a new form of teacher personality influence on learners in the electronic environment through self-presentation and self-actualization. The practical relevance of the study is to justify the feasibility of creating a digital image to increase the authority and recognition of the teacher among students, to increase their motivation in the learning process and to attract interested agents to engage with the university.
