This article explores the influence of mountainous climates on the concept of "eye" (eye/көз) in English and Kyrgyz linguistic traditions. By analyzing linguistic data, including idioms, metaphors, and cultural expressions, the study examines how the unique environmental conditions of mountainous regions shape perceptions and representations of the "eye" in both languages. The research highlights how the harsh and variable climate of mountains impacts cultural attitudes towards vision, perception, and observation, reflected in the language and symbolism associated with the eye. The concept of the "eye" (eye/көз) holds significant symbolic and cultural value across various linguistic traditions, reflecting deep-rooted perceptions of vision, perception, and insight. In both English and Kyrgyz cultures, the "eye" is more than just a physical organ; it serves as a metaphorical bridge between the individual and their environment, playing a pivotal role in how people interpret the world around them. This article delves into the influence of mountainous climates on the concept of the eye in English and Kyrgyz linguistic traditions, exploring how the environmental characteristics of mountainous regions shape and define the cultural expressions associated with vision and observation.
