COVID-19: неврологические последствия

Резюме: COVID-19 - это, в первую очередь, респираторное заболевание человека, вызываемое коронавирусом SARS-CoV-2. Но в большинстве случаев оно затрагивает и нервную систему: его последствия могут ощущаться в течение многих месяцев. Последствия острой фазы заболевания COVID-19 - ослабевающие и возвращающиеся неврологические и нервно-психиатрические симптомы как у детей, так и у взрослых, включая и тех, кто переболел в довольно легкой форме. Вследствие того, что длительное негативное воздействие COVID-19 на центральную и периферийную нервную систему невозможно игнорировать, необходимо осуществлять мониторинг здоровья как бывших пациентов, так и общества в целом. В настоящее время актуальными являются не только глобальная иммунизация против SARS-CoV-2, но и возобновление прекращенных программ массовой вакцинации против других вирусных заболеваний (например кори и полиомиелита), которые могут оказывать воздействие на нервную систему.
