The destructiveness of disregard or the significance of the “verbal strokes” ( рукой ) (based on the pedagogical discourse)

The article deals with the destructiveness of disregard as one of the ways of the communicative behavior of the teacher/lecturer toward the students from the perspective of the emotive linguistic ecology. There are revealed three types of disregard in the pedagogical discourse that can be interpreted as doing harm to the psychological and emotional health of the students. The author substantiates the destructive emotional impact of disregard and, quite on the contrary, the positive effect of the “verbal strokes” as the signs of considering the positive actions of the student by the teacher.
