The article considers the problem of studying the eff ectiveness of mastering spiritual and moral values by preschool children. The analysis of the category “value” is carried out, the methodological signifi cance of this phenomenon for pedagogical science and practice is stated, its signifi cance in spiritual and moral education and human development is determined, the specifi city of its parametric characteristics as a theoretical construct is noted. The essence of pedagogical diagnostics, its features at the level of preschool education are determined. A conclusion is made about the advisability of determining the parametric characteristics of spiritual and moral development of senior preschool children in accordance with the cognitive, emotional-sensory and behavioral spheres of personal development.
