The didactic potential of the booktrailer as the educational materials in the process of teaching the foreign speech

The article deals with the methodological potential of the booktrailer, that is delivered in the process of the foreign language teaching. The use of the booktrailer in the modern pedagogical conditions allows not only to attract the students’ attention to the literary source, but also to cause the interest and the internal motivation to studying the discipline by the means of the external actions of the audiovisual texT. The booktrailer is considered from the perspective of its accordance to the basic principles of the communicative education, there are studied its general pedagogical functions.
