Didactics of stylistics: design of the electronic textbook "Stylistics of the English language"

The paper considers the design of the electronic textbook on stylistics designated for students specializing in translation and Translation Studies and aimed at forming their stylistic competence. The latter is crucially important in pretranslation analysis of a ST, its translation and efficient intercultural communication. Stylistic lingual means are treated in paradigmatic and syntagmatic aspects. The classification is based on logically consistent grounds, sample tasks are provided. Training is aimed at the development of competences necessary to cope with challenges an interpreter faces in the professional activity.
