In the article being studied the image of the temple of Isis in the philosophical novel “Die Lehrlinge zu Sais” by Novalis, which has accumulated various oriental motives: the proto-language, the ancient sacred place, the lost secrets of true life, etc. The refraction of romantic aesthetics in the appeal to the East is revealed.
