The dynamics of settling and number of the Chuvash people in the regions of Russia in the XX century

Peculiarities in the dynamics of number and settling of the Chuvash ethnos in the XX century in the territory of the Chuvashi Republic as well as of the Russian Federation are considered in the article. Special attention is paid at the reasons and factors, influencing ethno-demographic processes and migration of the Chuvash people. The research is based on the materials of state statistics and population censuses, including the one of 2002.
