Discourse of sexuality as a way of discovering individuality in the aspect of personal maturity

The article attempts to examine the discourse of sexuality as a cultural and historical phenomenon from a psychological point of view. It is noted that sexuality, being in the space of corporeality, appears in the position of the existential mode of being of the individual. Sexuality as a language of sensual living of unique bodily experience acquires communicative potential. Dialogue about sexuality is defined by the possibility of disclosure and mutual exploration of personal meanings and experiences that constitute the core of individuality, without which it is impossible to imagine a mature personality. The content analysis of references to the concepts of “body”, “sexuality”, “mature personality” in the media and social networks was carried out, the psychological features of the constructs corresponding to them in the social context were revealed: focus on control, regulation, external manifestation of status, striving for compliance with ideals. The study revealed that sexuality is interconnected with the human body, but is not reflected in the context of personal maturity. The differentiation of perception is supported by social networks and the media.
