Preschool children and regional culture: social order

The article examines topical issues of sociocultural education of older preschool children, their essence, and the necessity of their solution. The author specifies the concept of regional culture in relation to the education of older preschool children, analyzes the specifics of familiarization with regional culture and the formation of sociocultural competence of children of the designated age. In the course of the study, the works of scientists and practicing teachers studying the problems, ways and prospects of socio-cultural education of senior preschool children, as well as the results of the influence of both external and internal factors on the process of education in a preschool educational institution were studied. Depending on the degree of the child’s activity, types of his interaction with regional culture are emphasized. Key objectives for involving older preschool children in regional culture are identified within the research framework, aiming to enhance their socio-cultural development and integration into regional contexts.
