Trust in an Organization as a Factor of the Psychological Well-Being of Its Employees

The article examines the features of the relationship between organizational trust and the psychological wellbeing of the individual employees of one enterprise. An analysis of current research areas on the features of the category “trust” and “trust in the organization” is conducted. The empirical part of the article presents the results of a study based on the study of a sample represented by employees of an industrial enterprise, with a total number of 194 people aged 20 to 45 years. The data collection methods were the Psychological WellBeing Scale of K. Riff (adapted by T.D. Shevelenkova, T.P. Fesenko) and the Methodology for Assessing the Level of Trust in the Organization of R. Shaw (Shaw, 2000). The analysis of the results was carried out using Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The study found that trust in the organization acts as a predictor of the formation of psychological wellbeing of employees. An aspect of organizational trust that is especially significant for the formation of employee wellbeing is the aspect of care.
