Irritable bowel syndrome in children is characterized by abdominal pain, decreasing after defecation, rumbling, flatulence, frequent urge to defecate and a feeling of incomplete bowel emptying, alternating diarrhea and constipation. Diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome in children is carried out by excluding organic pathology using ultrasound of the abdominal cavity, irrigoscopy, EGDS, colonoscopy, analysis of feces for helminth eggs, etc. Treatment includes correction of nutrition, the appointment of antispasmodics, carminative, sedative, antidiarrheal or laxative drugs, enterosorbents.

Over the past decades, our understanding of the etiology, clinical and laboratory assessment of the severity of lesions of the hepatobiliary system and the formation of outcomes in newborns and young children has significantly expanded. Liver damage can occur both in utero and postnatal infection, and depends on the state of the protective mechanisms of the child. The introduction of modern and publicly available serological, molecular biological methods of examination into medical practice has allowed expanding the horizons of etiological verification of diseases of the hepatobiliary system. Currently, a wide range of pathogens are known that are interested in the formation of liver pathology in young children, and along with hepatitis B, C, D, G and TTV viruses, representatives of the herpes virus family, mycoplasmosis, chlamydia, parvovirus B19, etc. occupy a historical niche.

Diagnosis of small myocardial injuries after percutaneous coronary interventions

Cardiovascular diseases are currently the main cause of disability and premature mortality in economically developed countries. Ischemic heart disease (CHD) remains the most common disease today, despite the high level of development of world medicine. The treatment of coronary artery disease in patients is an urgent problem at the present time. More than 3.0 million myocardial revascularization procedures are performed worldwide every year. In recent years, the ratio of percutaneous coronary interventions (P B) (angioplasty and stenting of the coronary arteries) and coronary artery bypass grafting is 2: 1 in Europe, and 6: 1 in the USA and Japan. Observational studies involving a large number of patients confirm that PCI is a highly effective procedure with a low complication rate compared to other methods of myocardial revascularization. Nevertheless, there are still many open questions in the PCI problem.

The main cause of the formation of liver fibrosis (AF) and, accordingly, its transition to cirrhosis are viral hepatitis. AF is the replacement of healthy liver tissue with connective tissue, which develops as a result of external (viral and alcoholic hepatitis) or internal (hereditary metabolic disorders and other genetic disorders) causes. It is known that fibrosis is a physiological response of the body aimed at limiting the inflammatory focus from healthy tissue and blood vessels. Histologically, AF is the replacement of extracellular matrix proteins (including collagen) of hepatic lobules in the liver parenchyma. The rate of AF formation depends on the etiology of liver tissue damage. In viral hepatitis, fibrosis begins with the portal vein system, from where it spreads to the parenchyma.

The issues of diagnosis and treatment of proliferative processes of the uterus are the most complex and relevant in medicine. Endometrial hyperplastic processes (GPE) are among the most common gynecological diseases, occurring with a frequency of 30 to 55% [5, 22]. GPE is an extremely difficult problem of practical gynecology, which is primarily due to the fact that with a long course without treatment, it can be a background for the development of endometrial cancer [21]. According to the literature data, the frequency of "malignancy" of endometrial hyperplastic processes varies quite widely (0.25-50%) and is determined by the morphological features of the disease, the duration of its recurrence, as well as the age of patients. According to epidemiological studies, approximately 150 thousand new patients with uterine body cancer are detected annually in the world, 42 thousand of whom die.

Resume: Acute intestinal infections (AEI) in terms of the incidence and severity of clinical manifestations in children are one of the most pressing problems of practical health care. In young children, AEI often occurs with toxicosis and exicosis syndromes, which is a particular problem in connection with the occurrence of conditions that threaten the child's life. According to the WHO, about 1 billion cases of AEI are registered annually in the world, of which about 5 million end in deaths. The problem of diagnosis and treatment of purulent-septic complications of subclavian vein catheterization has long attracted the attention of surgeons, anesthesiologists-resuscitators and specialists in surgical infections. The incidence of these complications, according to various authors, is very variable and ranges from 0.07% to 17.5%. According to the National Nosocomial Infection Surveillance, there are about 200,000 subclavian catheter infections reported annually in the United States (NNIS System Report, 1998). In Russia and, in particular, in St. Petersburg, bacteremia is detected in 9.3% of patients with subclavian catheters.
