Factors of Labour Motivation of Personnel in Project-Oriented Organizations

The article examines the factors of labour motivation of personnel in project-oriented organizations. The theoretical basis of the research includes instrumental, content, process, and integrative approaches to explain the work behavior used as an analytical framework for interpreting the empirical data. The empirical part is based on a questionnaire for the employees from three project-oriented companies. It is established that employee motivation is defined by a combination of material-economic, professional-developmental, organizational-procedural, and socio-psychological factors. The findings show that the most significant factors are salary, training, responsibility, working conditions, career advancement, and transparency of rules. The author concludes that the stability of motivation in a project-oriented environment depends not only on the level of pay, but also on the predictability of rewards, perceived fairness, opportunities for professional growth, and the degree of employee autonomy.
