Motivation of the employees is essential tool for the success of any organization. There are two specific types of motivation: financial and nonfinancial. The employers can motivate their employees using financial means as well as non-financial means. There is not always a plentiful amount of money to spend on motivation, so it is important to understand how managers can make their employees feel important without breaking the company. Both types need to be executed in a strategic way to provide the best results [2, 3].

Most employers today would like to have their employee motivated and ready to work, but do not understand what truly motivates a person. Companies could be more efficient if the workers had an invested interest in the future of the company. There are essential needs to be met for a person, especially an employee, to succeed in the workplace [2, 3].

Currently, there are a large number of theories about the motivation of staff. The application of these theories in Russia and in the West is slightly different.

One of the main features of Russia's motivational system is that most business leaders invest only in the material side of the concept of motivation. To some people, importance of money will be reduced after a certain stage. For these people, non-financial rewards are more important. They are motivated by money only up to the stage they struggle for physiological and safety needs [3].

The second feature of the development motivation of systems is that for a long time in Russia the motivational model of "carrot and stick" has been used, and today it has not lost its application.

The third distinctive feature is biased and a formal assessment of the labour contribution. The size of the official salary of workers of the same qualification category is the same, not taking into account the results of individual labor. The same situation is with awarding [3, 60-62].

The fourth feature of the motivation system in Russia is motivation models remain standardized, and any deviation from these standards is considered a violation of local regulatory documents.

The fifth feature in the development of motivation is the use of the competition, widespread in the USSR, is now widely used in Germany, the USA, Japan and other countries, unlike Russia [4].

The sixth distinctive feature of the motivational systems is that, unlike a number of Western countries, moral encouragement is very common in Russian enterprises.

The Russian mentality is characterized by the pursuit of collective work, recognition and respect of his colleagues. Also, in most Russian companies, the official growth of employees is still one of the main conditions for increasing staff motivation.

Currently, it is difficult to organize high wages due to the difficult economic situation. Therefore, managers of Russian companies should be given particular attention to non-material stimulation
