The phenomenon of selfie and symbolic thinking

Such a social phenomenon of contemporary history as girls and boys making pictures of themselves is still studied theoretically and analytically only. The article carries out an empirical study of the symbolic thinking, based on images that can’t be described by words, of persons who have a relish for making and posting so called selfie in the Internet. It’s shown that although the quantity and quality of symbolic thinking is better developed in the experimental group than in the control one, the structure of beliefs about the world (good, evil, morality) is far from harmonious in both groups.
