Recession in the USA ended in June 2009 and has lasted for 18 months, which means that it was the longest period of bad economy since the great depression. The American economy experienced the culmination of the crisis in early summer of 2009 after which a slow recovery began. This does not mean that the financial and economic crisis in the USA is behind us, but if the recessionary trends continue this will mark the beginning of a new crisis. This crisis in the United States began as a financial and has grown into an economic and now becomes unemployment crisis.
