Folklore and folklorism in axiological aspect (based on the mass literature and fiction of the 1760 -1830 s)

The article deals with the differentiation of the concepts of folklore and literary folklorism in the axiological aspect. There is characterized the aesthetic potential of the motivational and value-based focuses of mass literature. The authors emphasize its social and therapeutic function in the context of the theory of eudemonism. The folkloristic and ritualistic sense, belonging to a different (Kalmyk) realia, in the prose of I.I. Lazhechnikova and E.A. Gan in their translation into the language of the fiction is revealed.
