The article deals with the actualization of the issue of the improvement of the economic and management component of training engineers that arranges their readiness to substantiate economically and introduce the innovative technological solutions into production. There is given the author’s definition of the readiness of future engineers to the innovative economic and management activity. The authors suggest the approaches to its formation and reflects the results of the pilot testing.
