Forming and developing creative thinking while participating in a creativity battle at a physics lesson

The article is devoted to the issue of forming creative thinking while studying physics in middle school through organizing and conducting non-standard lessons. One of the forms of such classes is a Creativity battle, which is an intellectual team competition that can be held both in class and at odd hours. The global and rapid changes taking place in the modern world are ever more insistently revealing the impossibility of achieving the results of activities necessary for the development of the economy, society, and every person as an engine of progress using well-established and proven algorithms. The search for new forms and methods in preparing the younger generation for life and creative work is one of the most important tasks facing Russian education today. The aim of this article is to describe the results of a mini-study on the formation of creative thinking of 9th grade students in the study of physics. In the course of the research the methods of analysis, generalization and personal experience of the author have been used. The tasks that contribute to the development of a creative approach to solving problems within the framework of a subject topic by considering situations close to real-life ones during a Creative battle are submitted for discussion.
