The formation of the historical self-perception of teenagers through means of tourism activity

The article is devoted to the studying of the formation’s features of teenagers’ historical self- perception, and to the determination of implementation opportunities of tourism-local history activity’s potential. Parts of the historical self-perception have been identified, social-cultural factors of the development of teenagers’ retrospective self-perception have been characterized. The types and forms of tourism and local history activities have been characterized, their role in the establishment of social- pedagogic conditions of the formation of teenagers’ retrospective self-perception has been highlighted. Crucial aspects of tourism-local history activity’s organization in the institutions of the Central Federal district have been marked. In the study, the results of the empirical research on a significant number of tourism-local history events and programs, which are aimed at teenagers and have been carried out in various regions of the Central Federal district, have been presented. The obtained data allowed to structure their contents and to identify their influence upon the process of the formation of teenagers’ historical self-perception. The presented in various forms main directions of the organization of tourism-local history activity, that shape teenagers’ historical self-perception, and the degree of teenagers’ social-cultural activity, provided by the said directions, have been defined.
