In article it is noted that modernization of the Russian higher education changes requirements to training of the modern expert that assumes improvement of quality of vocational training at all levels. Economic education is considered one of the priority directions of education and is part of economic culture of the personality and society in general. Possession of economic competences is an integral part of professionalism of the head, and in particular the head amateur choreographic collective. Formation of economic competences at future heads of amateur choreographic collectives can be carried successfully out by active use in educational process of a method of creative projects that promotes increase of motivation trained and aims at further self-education and self-development.
