The focus of this work is on the development of human resources within the tourism sector. It is established that changes in the socio-economic system and existing tourist enterprises reduce the stability and reliability of their living conditions. In this situation, the personnel management of the management system becomes particularly important, since in the conditions of proper management organization, it becomes possible to effectively adapt each individual and all personnel of tourist enterprises to the external environment, to maximize the use of service potential and competitive advantages. It has been proven that in those tourism enterprises where the proper management personnel is selected and their stability is ensured, the economic indicators of service activities significantly prevail over those of other tourism enterprises. It was found out that in the new conditions, not all the disadvantages of working with personnel have lost their significance, some of them have even worsened and new problems have appeared. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out activities at tourism enterprises to assess the socio-psychological state of employees. This includes analyzing relationships in the team and managing conflicts and stresses, as well as monitoring employment.
