Formation of students’ project-research competence cognitive component in the college innovative educational environment

The formed project-research competence helps in the development of universal skills of a college student. The cognitive component plays an important role, as it is difficult to imagine an activity that is not supported by a certain theoretical basis. The innovative educationalenvironment, which consists of certain niches, plays a special role in the formation of the cognitive component of the competence in question. For the cognitive component, the author identifies a niche of scientific and pedagogical tools, the work of which is implemented through the student scientific community works database, information resources database, conversational lectures. Immersion seminars play a special role in the formation of the cognitive component. The theoretical data are supported by data from experimental work on the formation and development of the cognitive component of project-research competence. The article describes the levels, criteria, and diagnostic tools for assessing the formation of the cognitive component of the competence under study.
