Forming of students' competence through research

The article addresses the problems of high school graduates' competence and describes how it can be acquired though the system of students' research activity modeled after the natural science lyceum in Saransk. Rested on the standard of general high school education in physics, the authors provide tools enabling to conduct natural science research.
