Formation of critical thinking of future service professionals on the basis of the case-method

The article is focused on the formation of the “critical thinking” competence of future service professionals using the case-method. In the course of the study, such methods as the diagnosis of the level of critical thinking at the stating stage of the experiment were used as the main ones; a shaping experiment based on authoring case methods in an experimental group; retesting in the experimental and control groups. In addition, statistical significance of differences between the number of people at low, medium and high levels in the experimental and control groups was tested using the nonparametric chi-square test; the formation of competence “critical thinking” on the basis of the developed tasks of the case-method was tested and justifying the feasibility of including a number of curricula of disciplines in the training programs for service professionals was substantiated.
