This article explores the relevance of the problem of project-based culture and analyzes the following research concepts: “culture”, “project activity”, and “project culture”. The purpose of the article is to develop a system for developing a culture of project-based activity. Objectives: To analyze the current state of the problem, clarify key research concepts, and substantiate the system and pedagogical conditions for its operation. Theoretical (analysis, comparison, generalization, systematization) and empirical (observation, questionnaires, ranking) research methods are used. The following components of project-based culture are identifi ed: motivational, cognitive, operational, and emotional-volitional. Methodological approaches (systemic, cultural, creative-activity-based) and principles (cultural conformity, productivity, dialogicity, problem-based, integrative, contextual, and refl exive) to the problem under study are defi ned. The factors that motivated the study of this topic are identifi ed. The current state of the problem under study is analyzed, and scholars’ views on the essence of key concepts are compared. A proprietary system for fostering a culture of project-based activity in students has been developed, substantiated, and implemented, embodying the unity and interconnectedness of normative-motivational, substantive, procedural, and refl ective-evaluative components. The pedagogical conditions for the system’s functioning are identifi ed: a methodology for organizing design that takes into account the psychological and individual characteristics of students; the use of pedagogical ergonomics; and the use of computer systems and information technology. A project-based session technology is proposed, consisting of several stages: project defense; development of the topic for the next session; and formulation of project promotion objectives. The article presents the topics of local history, informational, historical, methodological, and video projects implemented at the Korkinsky Mining and Construction College as part of the project “Organizational and Pedagogical Conditions for the Application of Project- Based Technology in the Patriotic Education of Students of a Professional Educational Organization”. Particular attention is paid to educational workshops created for design classes. A conclusion is drawn about the importance of project-based activities.
