Formation of intercultural competence by means of a foreign language in the process of professional training of future engineers

The article examines the concept of intercultural competence, analyzes the process of forming intercultural competence by means of a foreign language in the process of professional training of future engineers. Particular attention is paid to the component composition of the educational model of intercultural competence formation. The pedagogical model is focused on improving the quality and effectiveness of the foreign language learning process and the successful integration of engineering graduates into the international business environment. The authors' appeal to the issue of the formation of intercultural competence is due to the development trends of modern society and education. The scope of application of the findings of this study is the process of foreign language teaching, one of the tasks of which is to train a specialist capable of innovative activities and intercultural communication, and of realizing personal and professional interests.
