Formation of motivation of learning activity in the study of general technical disciplines

The article examines the problem of the formation of motivation for educational activities in a military university in the study of general technical disciplines. The concept of motivation is analyzed, a survey of trainees was conducted according to their ideas about the motives of educational activity in the study of these disciplines. Examples of teaching methods of «Applied Geometry and engineering graphics», «Electrical Engineering and Electronics», «Mechanics» are given. These techniques are aimed at developing cognitive interest, creative activity and qualities necessary for effective cooperation of students in practical and laboratory classes, in innovation work. The implementation of methods contributes to the formation of highly qualified specialists.
