Since journalism has come to a new stage of development, it should be reflected in the educational process meeting the new requirements. The article deals with transmedia storytelling as one of the main methods of convergent journalism, as well as its inclusion into the foreign language course in journalist students ' training. The research has analysed differences between traditional and transmedia journalistic works, and considers the skills necessary for transmedia storytelling, and also provides sample exercises aimed at their development.
