The development of morality of future teachers in the educational process of the university

The paper analyzes the conditions for the development of moral priorities of future teachers in the modern Russian educational process. The idea of the existence of a contradiction between the inertia-functioning traditions of teacher education and the rapidly changing needs of the modern information, digital society is substantiated. The results of an anonymous survey conducted in 2017-2018 in order to determine the level of moral education of students of the pedagogical direction of training at the Nevinnomyssk State Humanitarian Technical Institute (120 students of 1-3 courses were interviewed) are presented. According to its results, a tendency of students to violate moral and social norms as a result of various factors is revealed. As a measure to improve the morale of students in the direction of “Pedagogical Education”, it was decided to include in the curriculum for the training of specialists a number of disciplines that form not only general cultural competencies, but also the moral foundations of the personality of future teachers.
