Shaping the Image of Islamic Educational Institutions in the Context of their Interaction with the State: Soviet and Modern Experience

The article considers the transformation of state-Muslim relations from the USSR up to modern Russia and its impact on the positioning of Islamic education. In the Soviet period, the creation of religious educational organizations had an elusive result. This is largely due to its characteristic political and ideological trends. In contrast, today there are opportunities for the opening and comprehensive development of such institutions. Especially, it is possible due to a rich arsenal of modern educational branding tools. As a result, the modern branding goals of Islamic educational organizations partially overlap with the goals of secular ones and meet the current Russian state interests. The authors emphasize that scientific and practical developments in the field of educational branding have impressive prospects for implementation in the activities of structural divisions and individual employees of Islamic educational institutes related to the organization of external communications.
