Functions of social control in the prevention of extremist behavior of young people

The issues of protecting young people from extremist activities are always relevant for any state. The article discusses the prerequisites for the formation and spread of extremist behaviors among young people. They are based both on the characteristics of youth as a special social group, and on social, economic, political, etc. conditions in society. The institutional, group and personal levels of social control, its external and internal functions, as well as integrative, latent, and rehabilitative functions are distinguished.
