The functional and thematic organization of myths in archaic societies

The article is devoted to the analysis of diverse functions and thematic organization of myths of the archaic society. Among the diverse functions of archaic myth, it should be noted especially important for primitive cultures function is a socially-integrative and regulatory. Mythology served in this case replace not yet existing social and legal institutions, it is reinforcing the existing order and customs, perpetuated and protected them. Legitimation of the existing social order - one of the main functions of myth in primitive societies in which myth is in the nature of protoenergii. Social organization was a model and matrix for the formation of mythological systems and was understood thus by all the tribe as sacred. Considered sacred function of myth, on the basis of archaic myth which is differentiated from other forms of culture, as it carried the charge of the supernatural, notions of transcendent reality, the quality of which is endowed with miraculous power, which leads to the creation of mythological images, of various kinds of supernatural beings. This article also covers significative-modeling, communication-mnemotechny, axiological, teleological, cognitive functions of myth. It is shown that the dynamics of the historical functions of myth-making fits into the overall context of the dynamics of traditional culture and cognitive evolution occurring in the process of historical and cultural development of mankind,
