The article describes the features of professional and gender self-concept of men at the stage of adaptation to professional activity. It has been found that military men and sales managers have inflated gender and professional self-esteem. The authors clarify that men with inflated self-esteem have focus on unrealistic goals, closeness to experience and training. The research has also found that leading personnel men have medium self-esteem, which develops more appropriate attitude to their achievements and contacts with other people.
