Gender archetypes of professionally successful men in early and middle adulthood

The article examines the gender archetypes of professionally successful men in early and middle adulthood. The novelty of the study lies in the identification of leading gender archetypes and peculiarities of the gender conceptosphere of professionally successful men of the indicated age categories. Two groups of professionally successful men participated in the study: 46 men aged 25-35 years (M = 30.5), i. e. early adulthood, and 50 men aged 46-58 years (M = 49.8), i. e. middle adulthood, according to G. Kraig's age periodization. It has been revealed that the leading gender archetypes of professionally successful men of early adulthood are Mag-rajas, Mag-tamas; those of middle adulthood are Tsar-rajas, Tsar-sattva, Tsar-tamas. Professionally successful men of early and middle adulthood differ in gender concepts that are significant to them. There is a link between men's professional success and locus of control, a general indicator of subject-object orientations.
