Introduction. The paper focuses on the cognitive errors with regard to the differences between males and females. Such an approach is an innovative research which requires methodological development and expansive empirical analysis. Materials and methods. To analyze gender differences in cognitive errors of males and females going through a special psychophysiological study via polygraph the authors examined the data obtained after testing 573 respondents (18-43 years of age) during the pre-test interview. Two groups were specified: group I consisted of 209 males (average age -34,3 + 1,2 years), group II included 264 females (average age - 33,3 + 1,4 years). The statistical processing of the results was conducted through the programme SPSS 22.0. Valid distinctions due to the age between the mentioned groups were not revealed.
