Gender differences in personality anxiety and socio-psychological adaptation in adolescents

The features of adolescent personality anxiety are described in the article. It is revealed that anxiety is an important psychological component in adolescence that affects the overall state of well-being of the individual and socio-psychological adaptation, especially in situations related to schooling. Long-lived anxiety contributes to the violation of behavioral integration and adaptation of the individual, can be the cause of violations of the psychological health of the student. There are gender differences in the manifestation of anxiety and socio-psychological adaptation. Girls are significantly superior to boys in terms of the severity of the average level of acceptance of other people and to a greater extent accept the peculiarities of their personality and individuality. High values of emotional discomfort are significantly more common in girls. Girls are more likely than boys to perceive a threat to their self-esteem.
