The genesis of youth extremism In Russia: socio-pedagogical aspect

The article highlights the authors’ historiographical analysis of the evolution of scientific approaches, concepts and practical measures developed In Russian and foreign pedagogy to understand, prevent and counter extremist manifestations among young people. This problem has become particularly relevant since the end of the 20th century, especially in the context of globalization, digitalization, social instability and increased ideological struggle. The purpose of the research conducted by the authors in the context of solving the problem of combating youthextremism is a comprehensive analysis of the socio-pedagogical prevention of extremism among students in the educational environment of the university. The researchincludes the study of issues of state regulation of antiextremist activities, the identification of problems and the development of solutions leading to the leveling of this phenomenon. Using an interdisciplinary approach combining pedagogy, sociology, philosophy and other social sciences, and relying on the principle of objectivity, as well as methods of deduction, induction, comparison and system analysis, the authors came to the conclusion about the critical importance of systemic prevention of extremism among students in the educational environment of the university. The results show the need for coordinated work by government agencies, educational institutions and other social institutions to minimize acts of extremism among students. The study also examines the state policy of countering extremism, as set out in the relevant strategy, and suggests the introduction of specialized educational programs to prevent students from becoming involved in extremist activities, as well as updating the activities of all stakeholders. This article covers only the historiographical part of the entire study, summarizes the results of identifying the stages of the spread of extremism among the public, including young people, and makes suggestions for minimizing extremist manifestations among students.
