Geographical component in human ecology: classical approaches and new principles

The “Human Ecology" course has been included into the state educational standards of new generation and is a compulsory course of the modern higher education. Over two-decade long experience of Human Ecology teaching has allowed to develop and update an original program with ecological and geographic content, including interactive communication, creative workshops and thematic conferences. The cycle of thematic workshops is built in the framework of basic geographic approaches and application of integrated information technologies. Visual models, students’ involvement, hands-on practical exercises, decision making, individual approach and the team work ensure the efficiency of teaching and the desired educational outcome.
