Understanding the tragic circumstances of the revolutionary events of 1917 is currently becoming particularly relevant. The problem of the lack of sovereignty in the thinking of elites influenced by western liberal ideological and political tendencies, the hostility of the states of the collective West and, above all, its Anglo-Saxon core towards Russia, attempts due to geopolitical and civilizational reasons of internal political and socio-economic destabilization of the Russian state from within, the low negotiability of Western states, as well as the importance of the factor of political will for the implementation of a chosen political course, remains the key issues of ensuring national interests, national security and sovereignty of the Russian Federation.
