The verbal category of tense in the modern German language: approaches to interpretation

The article covers the issue of intercategorial relations of the verbal category of tense in the German language, the points of contact of this category with the categories of aspectuality, modality and taxis. The similarities and differences of taxis and relative meaning are revealed. It is determined whether the presence of non-temporal characteristics by the temporal forms of the German language affects the composition and number of forms in the verbal temporal system.
