Civic and patriotic education of students of specialized secondary educational institutions in modern conditions

The study aims to investigate the topical problem of the formation of civic qualities of students of secondary vocational education institutions; reveals the essence of the concepts of “citizenship”, “civic qualities”. As part of the study the actual issues of developing a person’s active life position, love for the Motherland, protection of its interests and prosperity are considered, the authors’ opinions on the formation of citizenship in the young generation are studied, examples of activities carried out to form an active life position are given. The aim of the work is to analyze the existing methods and specifics of citizenship development, presented the results of a survey of students for the choice of forms of project activity as a method for the development of civic qualities. The survey involved 200 students in the 1st-4th years of study. Results obtained in the survey are ambiguous. The study provides examples of tools for the formation of a civil-patriotic position.
