The article reveals the problems faced by the Greeks who lived in the Kuban Region and the Black Sea Region during the Russian Civil War 1918-1920. The author analyzes the circumstances inside and outside Russia that led to the powerful resettlement processes of the Pontic Greeks during the period under study, The impact of the events of 1918-1923 in Asia Minor - the attempt to create an independent state by the Greeks of Pontus, the persecutions on Christians by the Turks - to the Greek population in Russia is revealed. Attention is drawn to the social contradictions that emerged during the Russian Civil War within the Greek society, which was part of the Russian society and reflected the Russian social and political processes. At the same time, the close relationship between the Pontic Greeks is noted, regardless of their place of residence, which indicates the preservation of their expressed ethnic self-identity, cultural and historical memory.
