Humanistic orientation of the views of N. I. Pirogov of the problem of female education and upbringing in Russia in the second half of the XIX century

The article presents Nikolay Pirogov's views of the problem of female education and upbringing in Russia in the second half of the XIX century and their humanistic orientation. The authors identified the influence of his progressive ideas on the further formation and development of the theory and practice of national upbringing and education of women.
